love it: Glow Birthday Celebration

  If you know me, you know I love birthday celebrations. And if you know me even better, you know it's go big or go home. This month was Glow's editor, Juliette and publisher, Orietta's birthday. We combined it together and held it at Lil Baci in Leslieville. They were super sweet and accommodating, and allowed me to bring in decorations, centre pieces and a cake!

I only had half an hour to set the decorations up so I needed ones that I can make before hand and easy to assemble at the restaurant. I made two birthday girl glittery banners, fringe streamers and tinsel for the two special ladies' chairs and simply tied it. The tutorial for the fringe streamers is found here. I laid four pieces of streamers along with eight strands of silver tinsel and tied it at the top. For the other chairs, I made mini tassels and strung them together, the tutorial can be found here. I had also been dying to make a cake topper! I used wire and card stock to put together a simple bunting one for easy assembly at the restaurant.

I had their pizza of the day for lunch, pork belly and mushroom pizza with an arugula side salad. It was very satisfying and just the right portion!
