eat it: Bent Restaurant

Guys, you have to go to Bent Restaurant. The boyfriend is so picky when it comes to food and this restaurant made it in to the "we can come back" list. I had no idea they were doing this Bent-o promo which has already happened twice. (Where have I been?!) We caught the 5:30 seating and this Bent-o promo was $42 for two people, after 5:30, it's $48. We started off with the chilled crab & shrimp shooter, followed by Japanese style tuna tartare, spring vegetable fritter, avocado croquette with miso cured salmon, slow braised short rib taco, blood orange and grapefruit salad, chicken and shitaki mushroom gnocchi and Susur's jerk quail. We also couldn't resist ordering the warm banana and chocolate chip cake to end the evening off. My favourite was the taco and the beau loved the gnocchi. The plating of the food in the various plates and bowls on different height levels blew me away. It looked and tasted amazing. You still have time to go, the promo runs till May 27th!
