DIY it: Watermelon Flats
Aren't the Kate Spade Watermelon flats just the absolute cutest? Here's a quick DIY to create a similar pair!
Materials: green flats, painter's tape, red fabric paint, brush, black triangular beads, super glue.
1. I found a pair of Zara green flats on sale, I gave it a brush to make sure it was clean and free of dust.
2. Tape off the front of the shoe with painter's tape.
3. Paint the top of the shoe red, depending on the material of the shoe, you might have to paint multiple layers. I had to use 3 layers. After it is dried, peel the tape off.
4. Figure out how many rows of "seeds" you want, start from the middle of the longest row so it'll look symetrical. Dab some super glue on the shoe and place the bead on it. Then work your way outwards. After all the beads were placed and dried, I painted the whole front of the shoe with superglue with a brush to doubly make sure they won't fall off.
They're the perfect kind of flats for summer and instantly brightens up your outfit!
