diy it: potato chip cookie with labels
Everyone should have a baking recipe to fall back on, something that they can whip up at a moment's notice. For me that's Smitten Kitchen's Potato Chip Cookie recipe. For our work's Valentine's Day bake sale, I took the trusty recipe and revamped it. I made the dough sans potato chips, divided it into thirds and subbed in barbecue chips, ketchup chips and sour cream and onion chips instead of regular chips. I bought heart plastic bags from Dollarama, made labels, folded them in half and stapled it to the bags. Voila, so simple but the little detail made such an impression. They were a hit and so fun to make!
I also couldn't help myself and added a couple more letters to my marquee from Babes & Gems and made a blinking bake sale sign!
I made a template for you to download to put together your own potato chip cookie bags!
