dinner series: Fall Fiesta

Over the weekend, the beau and I entertained at his condo. We're a pretty good team, he created the menu and I decorated. I read somewhere that every party should have an element of surprise for the guests so I blew up over 90 balloons in autumn colours and filled the room. I hung up a chalk banner from Target and brought out heart napkins I got from Iceland. I helped prep the appetizer which consisted of my favourite cheese, Prestige de Bourgogne from France, an assortment of meats, grapes and baguette. Nicholas made a pear infused quail with a side of beets and carrots. To finish off the meal, we baked a maple syrup apple pie.
