diy it: Christmas Decor 2015 Edition

With my hectic December schedule this year, I decided not to go as elaborate as last year's Christmas decor. Easy decor doesn't mean it can't be impressive. I found this easy DIY that makes a big impact. I spent two nights streaming TV shows and cutting up tissue paper and made 3 long garlands. I used one to hang along the gallery wall, one to go around the windows and one to wrap around my bar cart where the Christmas tree is. 

I also saw this felt garland a couple of weeks ago at West Elm and couldn't stop thinking about it. I took a trip to the dollar store and picked up the materials (felt and cotton balls) all for only $7 and spent an entire day sewing it.
