Bathroom Renovation

It took us a year but we finally got around to renovating the bathroom! Poor Nicholas had to hear me bitch about the sink for 12 months. That sink was the bane of my existence, the glass top always looked dirty because of the water marks and it was open storage underneath the sink! Bathroom products need to be out of sight because they're usually really ugly. For the vanity, I knew I needed something with maximum storage, and this one from Ikea was perfect. We also bought the legs and spray painted them gold. The gold swan faucet was a funny story. I was looking on Amazon for a gold faucet when I came across this one, I sent it to Nicholas as a joke and he fell in love with it! He talked me into it and now it's my favourite part of the washroom. I had originally wanted these for the circle hooks but they were way out of our budget but I was happy to find these at CB2 instead. In fact, we liked them so much, we bought another set to go in the bedroom. For the hand towel holder, we DIY-ed it ourselves with just a gold wire tube and a gold hook. We also painted the bathroom to white to brighten it up. These few changes have made such a difference, we constantly want to hang out in the bathroom now and admire our swan.
