eat it: Hanmoto

Hanmoto can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. It's situated right next to Luther's Chicken. The inside of the restaurant made me feel like I was transported to a secret restaurant in New York. My friend and I shared the Salmon Aburi which was salmon sushi you wrap it yourself in seaweed sheets. We also got the Nasu Dengaku which were fried eggplant with fried beets and miso hollandaise. The Dyno Wings were dumplings filled chicken wings that came in a cute box with the Chinese words, tasty at the front of it. We finished off with the miso ice cream with rice puffs. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful everything tasted and the presentation was very thoughtful. The one thing we didn't like though was the Katsu Bun which was deep fried breaded pork belly in a bun with soy remoulade. The burger was too saucy and overpowered everything else. The portions were also big and the price was reasonable. Hanmoto is definitely a restaurant I would come again.
