Buy it: Glow's Feb/March Issue 2016

My last issue of Glow and you damn well bet I gave it my all! Every issue, there is always one big hiccup that we all hold our breaths for. This time it was waiting to see if we could feature the Miu Miu fragrance for spotlight. We found out literally the day before the shoot and I sighed the biggest sigh of relief. I had been so married to my idea of creating this quirky face with the bottle, I would have been devastated if it never made it to print. 

The Style Files section got itself a new market editor, Nicole and got injected with a whole lot of fun. We do make a dream team together and thankfully we were able to do two issues of this section together. 

And since it's my last issue, why not put an eggplant emoji in a story about sex, I added it in last minute and had the editors howling at their desk. What else has me howling? The mini beauty products tanning on their beach blankets under the umbrellas. It was like a grade 2 school room at my desk with construction paper, glue sticks, skewers and scissors.

And lastly, I've been following Tayst on Instagram, which inspired the artwork on the beauty feature.

Leaving Glow was a really scary decision, they are my family and I love and breath editorial. But one must grow and attain new skills which I'm looking forward to at my new job, A Plus Creative!
